I close my eyes to sleep
Hoping to drift and fly
In dreams, my soul will leap
In slumber, I'll untie
Why am I here, I wonder?
What is my purpose, I inquire?
In the depths of night, I ponder,
In this vast sea, a drifting squire.
Who am I, a question profound,
Seeking answers as I lay,
A journey lost, yet I'm bound,
In this dream's embrace, I stray.
Where am I going? A path unclear,
Life's a circus, twists and tricks,
Yet in this realm, I hold no fear,
A world of wonders, my heart picks.
I wanna stay away, I yearn,
From reality's grasp, I plea,
In this realm of dreams, I discern,
A refuge where my soul feels free.
I close my eyes and bid goodbye,
To the waking world's array,
Hoping in dreams, my spirit can fly,
Where time and space gently sway.
Hope to God in sleep I'll stay,
In the tranquil embrace of night,
If I wake, to God I pray,
Blessed with morning's tender light.
Tomorrow again, I hope to stay,
In dreams' realm, an ethereal flight,
In the stillness, where dreams play,
Till morning comes, with a touch so light.
For in the world of dreams, I find,
A solace for my weary soul,
In the realm of infinite mind,
Where every part can be made whole.
And so, I'll close my eyes to sleep,
To journey through the night unknown,
In dreams, my soul will dive deep,
Where all my hopes and dreams are sown.
