Fading Echoes

Navigating Love in Stormy Terrain

The center can't hold

As things fall apart in bits

The walls are closing in

And it feels like I am trapped

Grasping at straws, I think it's time

Losing you, I swear I'd die

In pursuit of happiness

Living in a fantasy

Relegated priorities

Shambles came walking in

If I could turn back the hands of time

I would, I truly would

How do I make you see

I don't wanna let go

Hold on, please don't go

In the depths of despair, I plead

Hoping you'd hear my heart's need

But as fate dances with cruel glee

It seems we're not meant to be

I'm lost in memories of our past

Moments of joy, they went too fast

Yet here we stand at the edge of goodbye

Tears welling up, I ask, oh, why?

I reach for words that might bring you near

To mend the rift, to quell the fear

But love is a labyrinth, a tangled thread

And now, alone, I face the dread

Yet even in darkness, I'll carry your light

A flame in my heart, burning so bright

For all the dreams that once were shared

I'll cherish them, though you're no longer there

Life's bittersweet symphony plays on

And though the chords of love are gone

I'll find strength to heal and grow

And let my heart's song overflow

So, I release my grip, set you free

For in letting go, I find the key

To embrace the pain, to mend and grow

To move forward, to let new love sow

And as you fade into the distant night

I'll treasure the memories, hold them tight

With gratitude for the love we knew

I'll bid farewell, and start anew.
